The "Work"
Every year has some common themes: keeping up with what's changed in sales, how to level up your own career, how to hire and build great teams, etc. As a Surf & Sales participant, you'll have an opportunity to tell us what you hope to learn, and we've left room in the schedule for content we'll choose based on your input. Past sessions have included: How to Self-Correct without Self-Destructing; Enlisting Sales Ops to Take Sales to the Next Level; Leading Through Change and Building Big Things, and more.
The Surfing
Whether you are a total ripper or total newbie, Playa Grande is a world-class surf destination. We'll start every morning with lessons tailored to your ability level, right in front of the Summit venue. Surfing is challenging, but our instructors (and hosts!) guarantee they will get you up and riding - and smiling all day long. We will also lead guided surf sessions for more experienced surfers daily.
The Venue(s)
Guests will stay in a collection of beach bungalows directly on Playa Grande. All bungalows have pools and plenty of common areas to relax, hang out, skype with the kids, etc. The main venue for group meals and Surf & Sales workshops is beautiful Casa Serena, pictured above. We offer both private and shared rooms.
The Place
Playa Grande is a truly unique and breathtakingly scenic place. Surf & Sales takes place in a small cluster of bungalows built directly on the sand, steps from the warm water and waves of the Pacific Ocean. It’s a National Park and Sea Turtle sanctuary, and even during peak tourism season it never feels crowded. The beach is 4 miles long, and you’ll have plenty of time to explore it.
The Food
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be prepared by fabulous local chefs onsite and feature fresh local ingredients and traditional "Tico" fare. And drinks, yes, there will be plenty of those too.
Nightlife - Or not.
We have a beautiful venue with our own well-stocked bar, swimming pool, and plenty to talk about after hours. Playa Grande is a quiet, secluded beach with virtually no nightlife to speak of, but we will have one unforgettable evening adventure for food, drinks, and a little live music. And if you've really got the itch to hit the dancefloor, nearby Tamarindo is a classic Central American surf town with great bars, clubs, etc.
